  **Dr. Akkai Padmashali** is a transgender rights activist, author and founder of Ondede, a Bengaluru-based collective connecting movements for the rights of women, children and sexual minorities. Drawing on her own journey through discrimination and hardship, she has worked with communities, policymakers and the judiciary to advance dignity and equal opportunity for transgender people and sex workers. She has served on committees shaping Karnataka’s transgender policy and studying the status of sex workers. In 2015, she became the first transgender person to receive the Karnataka Rajyotsava Award. Her memoir, *A Small Step in a Long Struggle*, shares her life and activism. At TEDxIIBS, she brings a powerful perspective on courage, belonging and the possibilities of social change.

  **Shreya Krishnan** is the Managing Director of AnitaB.org India and a champion of inclusion and diversity. Previously EVP, Marketing and Communications at Aon India, she brings experience in corporate leadership, CSR and professional development. She has served on the advisory boards of several organizations and NGOs and co-hosted Grace Hopper Celebration events. Beyond her corporate work, Shreya is a dancer, actor, poet, sustainability advocate and former Mrs. India Universe 2017. She also co-authored *Words Matter*, a book exploring how the language we choose can shape the way people are treated. At TEDxIIBS, she brings a perspective shaped by leadership, creativity and her commitment to a more inclusive world.
