Bio

I am an art loving young futurist with a unique interest in technology. As we are rolling on to the 5th industrial revolution, it is important to have a diverse set of skills to be able to successfully navigate through the work environment. I am grateful that through the experience I have had in the past as a volunteer, intern and full-time team member working in the development programs, I have gained a plethora of skills that have given me insights on corporate machinery, entrepreneurship, gender, technology and innovation. This has enabled me to view the world from a different perspective. As the creative lead, I worked with 150+ international volunteers across 3 years at AIESEC, leading digital campaigns for incoming global volunteers. The volunteers worked in 4 different SDG-projects (Health, Education, Gender and Reduced Inequalities) in Morogoro. In another culturally diverse team at VSO, I created and facilitated employability training sessions and organized 3 community events where more than 1000 young persons across Zanzibar were imparted with robust 21st century skills that they could use for personal, professional and business development. I have also worked in research, handling social media and text messages surveys and doing product development field visits every month. Being the primary analyst, I was subjected to large volumes of data and the essential data handling principles and techniques with reports to be filed at the end of every week. I am currently working in the start-up ecosystem managing content on a fast-growing gender based webapp for girls called RISEUP through a CMS system and a program similar to BBC’s ‘Dragon’s Den’, called NIPE DILI. I am a content strategist consulting in areas of branding, content management and communication strategy. In a similar role at Unleashed Africa, I have developed communication strategies for the 3 in-house brands. I also write and publish newsletters and manage the social media accounts for the company and the Global Shapers Community Dar es Salaam.
