Beyond The Horizon

TEDx Zanzibar is the first TEDx intellectual gathering in the Zanzibar Islands, aiming to shine a light on the narratives of the beautiful Tanzanian archipelago in the Indian Ocean. These narratives span across various sectors, including education, investment, culture, traditions, and socio-economic development. The goal is to share these stories with the Zanzibar and global populations to inspire action, drive change, and foster the transfer of knowledge between the Tanzanian and global communities. About The Theme Beyond The Horizon is an unconventional concept that invites us to venture beyond the limits of what we know or see. It evokes the experience of gazing at the ocean where it meets the sky, wondering what lies beyond that imagined intersection. This idea also encourages us to appreciate and unlock the potential of what exists before the horizon—a reminder that growth and progress are rooted in both the utility of what we already have and the aspirations for what we have yet to discover. It’s a harmonious blend of utilizing the present and envisioning the future to create the development and quality of life we seek for our communities.
