Anthony Lue
Founder of the Anthony Lue Foundation
The summer of 2009 in the blink of an eye, my life was forever changed. As a high performance in many sport the words "You will never walk again" sent me into shock. "Star Athlete, Shattered Dreams" read the Toronto Star article...One thing was for sure, I was down but not out. I knew I had to learn to view the world through a new lens and overcome daily barriers in an effort to live a life that was both fulfilling and inspiring. So, despite my spinal cord Injury, I made a conscious decision to persevere, build new dreams -- and triumph in the face of life’s adversities. Today, I'm an entrepreneur who is building a career in business, motivational speaking and still a high performing athlete. In my new role, I takes audiences on a journey, delivering my life’s message with raw passion and startling reality.
Matisse Hamel-Nelis
Accessible Communications Consultant
I'm Matisse, and I spend my days helping people discover that accessible communication isn't just the right thing to do, it's actually a smart business decision. Whether I'm working with a team that's never thought about accessibility before or speaking to hundreds of communicators at conferences, I love those lightbulb moments when people realize inclusive design makes their work better, not harder. I wrote "Accessible Communications" with my co-author, Lisa Riemers, because we kept meeting brilliant communicators who wanted to do better but didn't know where to start. The book is full of the practical stuff: the kind of strategies you can actually use on a Tuesday morning when you're rushing to get that email out.

As Founder and President of The Shainhouse Group, Pamela helps organizations identify barriers and create more accessible experiences for customers, employees and communities. She also founded Allistyle, an inclusive fashion brand that challenged conventional ideas about whose bodies belong on the runway. Through her work and storytelling, Pamela invites us to reconsider assumptions about disability, recognize overlooked possibilities and create a world where everyone can belong.
