Oftentimes, society labels dissonance as something negative. However, the clash of two opposites, whether it is in the form of discordant music notes, personal struggles, or societal issues, can be the birthplace of new "harmonies", or insights. Just as dissonant chords can add to the beauty of music, ideas that seem opposed, and situations that are difficult can offer us opportunities for resilience, growth, and the decision to make change.
