The first edition of TEDX was launched in 2018 after a series of setbacks. On one hand we have the unrivalled concept of TED influencing thousands of people every day, we have people who do it for changing people's lives with nothing expected in return. Those who do it for passion and are skilled in the craft always do it better. TEDxVSSUT is a perfect paradigm how big events like TEDx can be modelled and organised in areas like Burla. The first edition of TEDx was launched under the theme of "SOLVING THE UNSOLVED". 15 speakers were invited from across all walks of life and a grand event was organized along with an introductory Gala Dinner. TEDxVSSUT is back again to organise its fourth edition here which promises to be only better and improve on the benchmark. Since then, the team has gained more experience and is committed to work through the past flaws & improve on it relentlessly.

Guarding this realm is one of our own, a proud UCE alumnus, a strategist who can piece together the puzzles what others can’t and a visionary whose quiet brilliance safeguards the nation. As the red dot of TEDxVSSUT 2025 prepares to shine brighter, we are honoured to welcome Dr. B.K. Das, Distinguished Scientist and Director General (ECS), DRDO, a gold medalist with over 33 years in the Indian Missile Programme and having the rare distinction of being titled ‘Best Presenter of the World’, his journey is not just of science, but of spirit, a pursuit to build, protect and empower.

Hiten Lulla takes the spotlight at TEDxVSSUT 2025 to share the story behind his journey of turning challenges into chapters and software to stories. His presence isn’t just about inspiring ideas; it’s about reminding us that even in a digital world, authenticity remains the truest form of impact

Behold the voice behind the soulful cries of Maula Mere to aching the beauty of Main Jahaan Rahoon and Thukra Ke Mera Pyaar, Mr. Krishna Beuraa, whose voice has been the heartbeat of a thousand emotions. From the gullies of Cuttack to chart-topping playlists, he turned lyrics into legacy. With collaborations across India’s top music directors, his unmatched versatility lingers long after the song ends and deep rooted passion make his journey a masterclass in persistence.

    “Empowered women don’t just break barriers, they build bridges of courage that inspire others to rise.” These words perfectly capture the spirit of Major Prajakta Desai, a woman of purpose, resilience and unwavering determination. A commissioned officer in the Indian Army, she made history as India’s first woman UAV Observer Pilot, breaking barriers in one of the most demanding fields of military aviation. With years of distinguished service, she embodies courageous, disciplined and empathetic leadership and inspiring others, especially women, to embrace their strength and lead with conviction. We are honoured to welcome her to TEDxVSSUT, a decorated officer and a guiding light of empowerment and inspiration.

    "From Dominating the Mat to Defining a Legacy, The Poster Boy of Kabaddi, Steps Into the Spotlight!" From the dusty fields of a small town to arenas that test every second, He transformed challenges into victories, moves into masterpieces, and courage into legend. His journey is more than kabaddi, it’s a story of resilience, grit and unstoppable ambition, leaving a legacy that transcends the sport and motivates every dreamer. Introducing Rahul Chaudhari, the Raid Machine, Master Strategist and Fearless Game-Changer of India taking the TEDxVSSUT stage. The first player to cross 500, 700 and 800 raid points in the Pro Kabaddi League, and a sportsman whose skill and leadership have inspired an entire generation of kabaddi players.

  • Ranjan Panda

    He stands firm in his conviction that only through unity, not by fragmentation, can we confront the mounting tensions of our world and the dangers of climate change. From restoring rivers to shaping water policies, Ranjan Panda, the Waterman of Odisha, has turned passion into impact. He is the first 'Green Hero Award' winner and recognized as the ‘Mahanadi River Waterkeeper’ by the Global Waterkeeper Alliance. At PDD, UNOPS Geneva, his global advisory role influences climate resilience and displacement policies that touch lives worldwide. As Founder-Mentor of Youth4Water-India, he leads a dynamic youth movement for water sustainability & climate resilience. His TEDxVSSUT talk will echo the saga of rivers restored, lives touched and hopes renewed.

  • Vedbhushan IAS

    He leads not by command, but by conviction: turning challenges into change and purpose into progress." With a name that echoes dedication, integrity and vision, Shri Vedbhushan, IAS, embodies luminary leadership. Currently the Collector and District Magistrate of Kandhamal District, Odisha, and formerly Commissioner of Sambalpur Municipal Corporation, he has redefined public service through empathy, innovation, and people-centered governance, transforming how we perceive Odisha today. From shaping communities to nurturing innovation, he shows that leadership is about direction, trust, and perspective, not titles or power.
