At the 2025 TEDxPetalingStreet Annual Conference, we invite you to stay awake amidst uncertainty, to witness those who remain focused in the noise of the crowd; to listen to the voices that keep questioning amid the tides of change; to believe that even in a turbulent, restless world, we still hold the choice not to drift with the current. We are not rushing toward answers. Instead, through one another’s stories, may we see hope still flowing; may we see humanity, holding firmly to the power of choice, even amidst the winds and waves. To ride the wind and break the waves is not about controlling the whole, but about awakening an inner order. Even knowing we cannot predict the winds, we can still hold the helm, sailing through the rising and falling tides. It is precisely in the fiercest storms that breakthroughs are born. Those who ride the wind do not waver with its direction; those who break the waves dare to chart paths through the unknown. True courage is not the absence of fear, but the will to confront chaos and face truth anew. “GRIT” is no longer just a bold slogan, but a profound and steadfast call. In an era where circumstances are endlessly reshaped, how do we re-anchor the position of humanity? We do not flee from the anxieties of technology, but return to the roots of human values. We do not fight against disaster, but learn to reconnect with the earth, and with each other. We do not fear the turbulence of economies, but find steadiness in the storm.
