The inaugural TEDxNightingale College event brings together leaders, innovators, and changemakers who are confronting and solving systemic challenges in health care and other disciplines. The event will focus on elevating transformative ideas, sparking courageous conversations, and amplifying solutions emerging from our high-impact community onto a national stage. The U.S. nursing shortage, projected to reach up to half a million vacancies within the next decade, demands bold solutions. Incremental fixes are not enough. To meet this challenge, we must radically transform the systems that shape healthcare education, employment, and support.

  • Blake Wm. Halladay

    Blake Halladay, RN, is a proactive nurse leader committed to updating healthcare regulations to address clinician burnout and shortages. Halladay advocates for modern regulations that align with current practices, emphasizing reforms to enable healthcare professionals to maximize their expertise for improved patient care.

  • Devin Marble

    Devin Marble leads immersive training for workforce readiness in high-stakes environments, combining film, paramedic experience, and nearly a decade in XR education and enterprise deployment.

  • Jason Altmire

    Dr. Jason Altmire is CEO of Career Education Colleges and Universities, with experience in government, business, and academia, recognized for his public speaking and policy expertise.

  • Jeffrey Olsen

    Dr. Jeffrey Olsen, President of Nightingale College, has over two decades of experience in education. He earned a PhD from Utah State University, an MS from Western Illinois University, an MA from Pacific Lutheran University, and an undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University.

  • Jonathan Tanner

    Jonathan Tanner is chief growth officer at Nightingale Education Group, overseeing mission-aligned growth and strategic communications with an MBA and biology background.

  • Juliet Kolde

    Dr. Juliet Kolde, with over 25 years of experience in critical care, pediatrics, and community health, currently leads Nightingale Innovations, Nightingale Education Group. She is committed to advancing nursing knowledge and promoting diversity and inclusion. Dr. Kolde is a member of the National League for Nursing and Sigma Theta Tau.

  • Kris Hsu

    Kris Hsu is an award-winning VR producer and director with a background in entertainment and learning sciences, leading Nightingale Education Group’s VR team to design clinical judgment training.

  • Max Topaz

    Dr. Max Topaz, motivated by a patient tragedy, is an associate professor and senior scientist studying the acceleration of medical discoveries using AI, with significant research funding and publications.

  • Mike Sorensen

    Mike Sorensen, Chief Collaborator Experience Officer at Nightingale Education Group, focuses on building strong organizational culture and employee engagement, holding an MBA and nonprofit board role.

  • Mikhail Shneyder

Clasp was also recognized as a promising healthcare startup by Business Insider in 2025.

    Dr. Tim Cunningham is a clown, a nurse, and a healthcare executive. Professionally what matters most to him is working with teams to find more meaningful ways to practice compassion, integrate well-being at the workplace, and to elevate the profession of nursing.
