• Hassanatou Ly Lopez

  Student

  Hassanatou is a freshman at ACS. Through her TED talk, she demonstrates the importance of holding on to who we are in a changing world in which we constantly have to adapt to new sociocultural environments. By explaining how important storytelling and family connections were in her own life, she will inspire the audience to hold on to their strong sense of cultural identity and inspire them to foster adaptability and cultural empathy in their own lives.

• Kiyan Yaghnam

  Student

  Kiyan, a junior at ACS, explores the “essence of a changing world” by analyzing how today's distractions often overwhelm us, pushing us to turn to AI. He reminds us that while technology can make life easier, it should only be used as a tool, and true innovation comes from taking the time to think deeply.

• Liyana Zahir

  Student

  Liyana Zahir, a junior at ACS, explores the power of youth activism in her talk “Revolution of Awareness.” She highlights the courage of Gen Z students who have taken to the streets, leading movements for change through student-driven protests.

• Mary Hedlund

  Student

  Mary is a sophomore at ACS. She will be discussing how living abroad can impact a teenager’s mental health and the challenges that they might go through in this changing world. What does it mean to live abroad? How has living abroad impacted teenagers today and steadily become more common in this changing world? She has lived internationally her whole life and is very passionate about this topic.

• Rakan Almana

  Student

  Rakan is a Junior at ACS and addresses the issue of global access to medicine. Why should your location depend on what medicine you can access? In a world where medicine is constantly developing, there still seems to be some sort of non-accessibility for medications in some countries. Rakan has a chronic immune-mediated inflammatory disease called Eosinophilic Esophagitis, and some of the medicine he needs is not available in Jordan. You will learn about the importance of access to medicine and why.
