As a school, we believe that being literate is not enough for our kids. We are educators and education is dynamic, ever changing. Our goal has been to help people excel in life, personal and professional. TED is a perfect platform that inspires everyone, people of all ages, gender, cast, creed and schools of thought. There something for everyone here. It comprehensively fits in our agenda to spread knowledge, equip young people with tools to succeed, grow and be happy in life. So, when we thought about organising our own TEDx event, it was a no brainer. This first ever TEDx event at St. Edmund's School Malviya Nagar, Jaipur: TEDxStEdmundsSchool marks the birth of a new culture in our community. Hence we are calling it the GENESIS of a new era.   • Atiya Zaidi

    A writer, editor, expert in English Literature, publisher, educationist, teachers’ trainer, poet and a lover of children. Mrs. Zaidi is the head of India’s largest publishing house for children’s books and is a renowned name in the field of education. She is also the founder of FICCI Publishing Cell. However, she believes that the goal of her life is to educate students on one of the most cardinal and sensitive issues that the world faces today, gender sensitization, which she aims to do through her books.

  • Dr. Sayed Irfan Habib

    An Indian historian of science, author and a public intellectual. He was the Abul Kalam Azad Chair at the National University for Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA), a scientist at the National Institute of Science, Technology and Development Studies (NISTADS), New Delhi.

  • Gaurav Gera

    An actor, comedian, Youtuber and internet personality. Recently in the limelight due to his hilarious online videos, Gaurav has long been a part of the Indian cinematic landscape. Ever since his debut in the Bollywood flick Kyun...! Ho Gaya Na, he has made multiple appearances on the silver screen. He has also been a part of various Hindi television shows like Jassi Jaisi koi nahi, life nahi hai laddoo that aired on Sony and Star plus. Having done a number of reality shows to add to all the above, Gaurav is a well known face in the Indian television industry.

  • Hitesh Ramchandani

    Born with a neuro- condition called, ‘Cerebral Palsy’, cause due to medical negligence, Hitesh’s parents were told that he would never be able to walk to talk. They recommended him to study at a special institute as he was not destined to live a normal life. Actually the doctors were right in their latter statement. He, by no means is living a normal life. Today Hitesh is a National Football Para-Athlete, motivational speaker and author of a book. His mission is to inspire 50 million people by age 50! We can't wait for this start to light up our sky!

  • Mohit Gaur

    Hailing from Jaipur, Mohit Gaur is a singer who has melted many hearts across India with his sweet voice. An extremely loveable and strong contestant of the popular reality show, India’s RAW Star, Mohit has a strong presence online as well. His music videos have as many as 5.5 million hits on Youtube. Along with singing, Mohit Gaur also played the lead role in TV series aired on Channel V. Mohit is a living example of the idea that you become what you want to be. Music has always been his passion and now his career. He is a story of a youngster dreaming to make it big and then (what actually matters) making it big!

  • Prof. Dr. Igor Oblonkov

    Born in a well to do family in Ukraine, Dr. Oblonkov, now popular as Patri Das is a voluntarily retired Commando Officer of the Russian army. He is an epitome of versatility and dexterity. A journalist, Professor of Psychology, Multi-lingual Mentor, International motivational speaker, Bhakti Yogi, Visionary, Mystic, Spiritual Leader, Social worker... the list just goes on! In the words of the man himself “ My good fortune arose the I first met the Disciple of His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Founder of ISKCON”. From there, the journey of enlightenment began and ever since he has been devoted to help the humankind in whatever ways he can.

  • Usanin Alexander Evgenievich
