Vikram Sharma is the founder and CEO of Canberra- based QuintessenceLabs, or Q-Labs, which uses quantum technology to strengthen cryptographic key management and encryption, an urgent need in this era of increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks. Previously, Sharma founded two successful information-technology start-ups. He holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and a Doctorate in Quantum Physics from ANU, as well as a Master of Science in Management (Sloan Fellow) from Stanford University. He received the Pearcey State Award for Entrepreneurship in 2013.
