Gonzalo Muñoz was nominated by the Chilean presidency and the United Nations as the High-Level Climate Champion for the 25th Conference of the Parties (COP25) to the United Nations Climate Change Convention (UNFCCC). He also cofounded the global NGO Ambition Loop as well as Polkura Winery, Sistema B (Bcorps in Latin America) and TriCiclos, a Latin American company focused on the circular economy and recycling. He sits on several boards and councils, including the Global Foodbanking Network, TED Countdown's vision council and Chapter Zero Chile. Currently, he is the chair of the Food and Agriculture strategy for non-state actors for COP28 and COP29. He is also a member of the Club of Rome; a recipient of the Chilean national awards on environment, innovation and social entrepreneurship; and was awarded the honor of CMG in Queen Elizabeth’s final honors list in 2022.
