Filmmaker

Songhuan Khan Lee is a filmmaker, artist, educator, and international film festival operator whose work explores cinema as a bridge between personal vision, cultural memory, and emerging technology. Lee earned his bachelor’s degree in Film Directing from the University of Sydney and his master’s degree in Filmmaking from the New York Film Academy Los Angeles. He is a lecturer at the New York Film Academy and a visiting professor at Beijing Film Academy. His creative practice spans narrative cinema, experimental moving-image art, AI filmmaking, film education, and international festival curation. He has directed more than twenty film and moving-image works and has participated in nearly one hundred productions, including major Chinese film projects such as The Wandering Earth. His works have received 166 international festival awards and have been selected by international festivals including Cannes, Rhode Island, New York International Film Festival, and Paris International Film Festival.
