Bio

A journalist and financial adviser by profession, I live at the intersection of stories, systems, and society. As a parent raising children in Aotearoa New Zealand—a home we chose after coming from India—I’m deeply invested in questions of identity, belonging, and voice. I’ve seen how positivity is often celebrated, yet confidence, difference, and honest expression are quietly discouraged, especially in young people navigating multiple worlds. I believe meaningful change begins with courageous communication: creating spaces where children and communities feel safe to speak, be seen, and stand confidently in who they are. My work is driven by the belief that when people—especially youth—are heard, they don’t just adapt to society; they help shape it.

An idea worth spreading

Real change doesn’t begin with louder opinions, but with positive conversations that help people find their voice.

The TED story

A storyteller, numbers-person, and lifelong learner, I work as a journalist and financial adviser while staying deeply engaged as a parent and community voice. I’m driven by meaningful conversations, optimistic thinking, and the belief that young people—when heard and encouraged—can shape a more compassionate and thoughtful future.

Things you might not know

People don’t always know that I’m good at listening deeply—especially to young voices—and turning everyday conversations into moments of clarity, confidence, and motivation. connecting the dots—between stories and numbers, emotions and logic, problems and possibility. helping young people see their own potential—often before they see it themselves. asking the questions that slow us down, challenge assumptions, and open space for positive change.
