I'm passionate about

Education, mental health, and the performing arts — using creativity to inspire confidence, connection, and personal growth in young people.

An idea worth spreading

"Art guides us in discovering our true selves through courageous performances every step of the way" What I've realised is that creativity is not about achieving perfection or seeking applause. It’s rooted in honesty courageously embracing each moment, shedding our facades, and discovering the truth underneath. Whether on stage or in a classroom, every act of creation is a performance, and if we are brave enough, each performance reveals something genuine about ourselves.

The TED story

There was a time when i had no home, no clear direction, just a stubborn belief that I could transform pain into purpose. I carried everything I owned in a backpack and a notebook filled with ideas. Acting, writing, and creating were how I made sense of chaos. I’ve always believed stories can save lives. For a while, they saved mine. I started as a performer, dancing, acting, living for the stage — but life had other plans. The industry was tough, and I found myself drifting, trying to rebuild from scratch. In those uncertain moments, I realised something deeper: creativity isn’t about success. It’s about survival. It’s what keeps us going when everything else feels impossible. Years later, that same belief took me to China. I thought I’d only stay briefly for a teaching job. Instead, I found a second home, a culture that challenged me, students who inspired me, and a sense of belonging I’d been seeking for years. Between the classroom and the stage, I realised I hadn’t just changed careers — I had found my true calling. Education became my new form of performance, where the goal isn’t applause but awakening. When a student finds their voice and creates something genuine, that’s the real standing ovation. Today, my work combines creativity, psychology, and education. I use drama to help young people develop empathy, emotion, and confidence traits that make us human. Looking back, I don’t see homelessness or struggle as failure. I see them as the opening act of a much larger story. They showed me that we’re all capable of rewriting our scripts. In the end, we’re all storytellers building, breaking, and rebuilding until we discover the version of ourselves that feels authentic. That’s what I aim to teach. And that’s the story I continue to live.

Things you might not know

psychology, economics, and music. I love exploring how the mind works, what drives human decisions, and how rhythm and melody can express what words often can’t. These interests shape my approach to teaching and performance, allowing me to connect ideas, emotions, and people in creative and unexpected ways.
