Bio

My name is İnci Bolat. I am a student at Kayseri Science High School and Co-organizer of TEDxKayseriFenLisesi. I have been interested in various topics since childhood. The questions "why" and "how" were always with me, and my curiosity guided me to research. Now, I am studying at one of the most prestigious science high schools in Turkey, and I am trying to bring TED's mission of "ideas worth spreading" to my community. I describe myself as a lifelong learner and a passionate researcher, whether it be in the fields of science or the social issues of our time; I love going deep into the details until I reach the essence of the matter. Outside of my academic pursuits, I am an avid reader; I believe every book is a new perspective and a different world. Music is another important part of my life; it inspires me and helps me recharge while working on new ideas. As the Co-organizer for TEDxKayseriFenLisesi, my aim is to create a platform where thought leaders connect with thought seekers. I strive to organize conferences that spotlight groundbreaking ideas and motivate my fellow students to think creatively. I believe that even at this young age, with thorough research and a drive to disseminate information, we can make a real difference. I am always open to meeting new people who share my interests in innovation, literature, and the never-ending quest for knowledge.

An idea worth spreading

Curiosity is the fuel for progress; every 'why' has the power to change the world.

The TED story

My journey with TED started with a simple click on a video that changed how I saw the world. I’ve always been someone who loves to listen, observe, and discover new things. Since I was a child, my curiosity has been my biggest guide, and TED became the place where that curiosity felt at home. What started as watching inspiring talks in my room has now turned into a bigger responsibility. As a Co-organizer for TEDxKayseriFenLisesi, I am now on the other side of the stage. My goal is to create that same 'aha!' moment for others that I experienced years ago. For me, TED is not just about speeches; it’s about the quiet patience it takes to build a community and the magic of sharing a single, powerful idea.

Things you might not know

I might seem like I’m always in a rush, but I’m actually very patient. I enjoy taking things step by step and having the persistence to see a project through to the very end.
