An idea worth spreading

We don’t think that one tv show can fulfill all our needs. Or one piece of clothing or one friend or one book. But we’ve been taught that one partner is supposed to do that. What if everything we think we know about relationships, is wrong?

The TED story

I stumbled upon Jill Bolte Taylor's talk "My stroke of insight" back in 2009 and was amazed. I'd never heard of TED before, but suddenly I found all these interesting talks from all over the world and I wanted to share them with others. When I discovered the possibility to participate as a translator, I was also able to give my parents the ability to understand a lot of great talks. Now, some years later, I'm one of two Swedish Language Supervisors, meaning that I mentor new translators and also have the final say before translations are published. Translating TED Talks made it possible for me to start a career as a professional translator, and I'm passionate about helping people understand content, whether it's a TED Talk or a sitcom on a streaming service. The more we understand, the better we can be.
