About Dream
Bio
I am a Grade 1 homeroom teacher in my fifth year of teaching, holding a Texas teaching license and a master’s degree in Elementary Education from Dallas, Texas. Growing up in a family of educators, I was naturally drawn to the classroom, where learning is not just taught, but experienced and felt. While teaching may seem to happen within four walls, I believe its impact extends far beyond, shaping how students see and engage with the world. My goal is to equip my students to grow, influence, and shine in their own unique ways beyond the classroom.
What inspires me most is the opportunity to shape a child’s very first understanding of the world, from foundational skills like learning to cut paper with scissors to more complex ideas such as fractions, biology, and writing. It is a powerful reminder that every skill and piece of knowledge I carry today is the result of someone else’s teaching. I believe every student has the potential to grow, and I am passionate about nurturing that growth academically, emotionally, and socially through a strong foundation of a growth mindset.
For me, teaching is more than a profession. It is a calling rooted in connection, curiosity, and care. Outside the classroom, I enjoy playing the piano and guitar, reading, and spending time with my family and my pet, Kory. These moments continue to inspire me to open the door to a bigger and more meaningful world for my students.
