Bio
Early career researcher in Theatre and Performance Studies (PhD in Theatre and Performance Studies, the University of Sheffield). Currently based in Kyoto, Japan after years in Sheffield, UK.
My research interests include Contemporary Theatre and Performance, Live Art, One-to-One performance, Self-translation, and Translation as Creative Practice. I am a co-producer of WROUGHT Festival, a performance festival with an exclusive focus on One-to-One performance and intimate audience experience.
I am also a freelance translator of text and subtitles between English and Japanese. My recent work includes an art-related short film project (EN<>JA) and an educational video series on cognitive remediation (Teach Recovery, EN>JA).
