Catherinerose is invested in building inclusive ecosystems and nurturing skills development. She has extensive experience working in talent and skills development in Eastern and Southern Africa. And works with and supporting African start-ups, SMEs and entrepreneurs to develop solutions and build sustainable ventures. Catherinerose is a firm believer in diversity, equity and inclusion in the tech sector, and has been working to level the playing field for many years. She co-founded Tanzania's first privately owned tech and innovation hub ' The Kinu', and most recently a tech engineering lab BIT Africa. She is a Fellow of the African Leadership EA Initiative and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network; Board member of the Alliance Francaise de Dar es Salaam; Board member of the African Leadership Initiative EA, and Founding Curator of the Dar es Salaam Global Shapers Hub.

My TED journey started when I watched my first TED talk over 10 years ago and felt inspired. In 2018, I had the opportunity to curate and coach the speakers at TEDxOysterbay, and have continued to do since every year since then. I enjoy the process of finding incredible humans, and supporting them to be tell their story and share it with others. Being involved in the curatation and coaching, has further convinced me why diversity and inclusion are so critical and must be intentional if we want to create a better world.
