Bio

Born in Trujillo, Perú, to a Peruvian mother and German father, Angelika's family relocated to Teheran, Iran, for a few years when she was very young, and finally moved to Germany. So being exposed to different cultures and languages was a fundamental experience, and the love for languages and the interest in cultures has remained. A life-changing experience was her volunteer work at a children's home in Chile before starting her studies in architecture. After some time as freelance architect, she worked several years in marketing and business development. She teached architecture at the KIT in Karlsruhe, and now works at a Fraunhofer Institute. Since 2012 she's a TED Translator and Language Coordinator, and was a part of the TEDxKIT team from 2016 to 2018.
