Dr. Anwar F.A. Dafa-Alla, a passionate advocate for knowledge access and intellectual development, has ignited a wave of ideas in Sudan and beyond. In 2011, Dr. Dafa-Alla became a pioneering force for TEDx in Sudan, launching TEDxKhartoum, TEDxYouth@Khartoum, and TEDxOmdurman conferences. His commitment extends beyond translation; he has organized over 15 events, fostering vibrant communities of thinkers and changemakers. Dr. Dafa-Alla's expertise reaches beyond the stage. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and has served as CEO of Afro-Arab Trading, demonstrating his ability to bridge knowledge and action. As a professional anchor and translator for Korean Arirang TV, he honed his communication skills, captivating audiences across cultures. Beyond his impressive individual achievements, Dr. Dafa-Alla dedicates himself to nurturing intellectual communities. He founded the Sudanese Researchers Initiative, a Facebook group exceeding 700,000 members, hosting webinars with Nobel Laureates and igniting critical dialogue. His belief in empowering developing nations shines through his advocacy for education and technological knowledge over financial aid. As Head of Computing and Senior Lecturer at City College, Qatar, and former Computer Science Assistant Professor at Garden City University, Khartoum, Dr. Dafa-Alla inspires future generations to build their own pathways to progress. My DB/Bioinformatics lab mate (Ibrahim Musa) sent me a link to "Peter Donnelly shows how stats fool juries" talk as we were researching Data Mining related stuff. Later I watched the next Einstein is African talk by "Neil Turok". I fall in love to this place "TED" and was more than glad to find a way to participate actively in translating TED talks into Arabic and Share them . I also organized more than 15 TEDx events and spoke at dozens of TEDx events. It's all about Love <3
