Music. It brings color to my life. I have been playing piano for five years, and love exploring various styles of music. I have performed in front of audiences of up to 200 people and took part in a youth ensemble for three years. Currently, I am working on improving my sight-reading and repertoire. I also love to compose my own original contemporary classical-style music! I self-study music theory using Barron's AP Music Theory textbook. I'm also passionate about learning. I love engaging with new ideas, debating on different philosophical topics of life, and learning about other people's perspectives. I love learning science and the way it helps me understand the world around me. I'm incredibly passionate about the power of common understanding and seek to spread the concept throughout my community.

Stories

Ideas — especially the kind that make people stop, question something they have always believed, and look at the world differently. I’m passionate about technology and entrepreneurship because they give people the ability to turn an idea into something real. I’m passionate about education because access to the right knowledge can completely change the trajectory of a person’s life. I also love debate and research. I enjoy taking an uncomfortable question, looking at it from different perspectives, challenging my own assumptions, and trying to understand why people think the way they do. Most of all, I’m passionate about building things with other young people. Whether it is a research project, a debate community, a startup idea, or a new platform, I enjoy creating environments where people can think bigger than they initially believed they could.
