TEDxWilliamsCollege

Williams will host TEDxWilliamsCollege on Saturday, January 25, 2014. Over the course of an afternoon, six Williams faculty members and three students will present short talks on such wide-ranging topics as galaxy collisions, the philosophy of the mind, and pop Orientalism. For this, our first TEDx event, many of the talks have been inspired by or developed from ideas explored in tutorials at Williams. These distinctly Williams academic courses are deep, semester-long conversations among two students and a professor, in which students develop independent work, as well as their writing abilities and critical thinking skills.
