TEDxYouth@CSHC is an event that is designed to inspire the youth of Sturgeon Heights and the wider global audience. We have an impressive array of fascinating and thought-provoking talks that cover a host of topics from education, to social justice, and community. We have an equally diverse variety of speakers as well; from high school teachers to poets to Youth activists.

  • Barbara Engel

    Mrs. Engel is a teacher of English Literature at Sturgeon Heights Collegiate. She is going to be speaking about the role of teachers and students in creating a sense of community in school.

  • Scott Radley

    Mr. Radley teaches Science and IB Economics at Sturgeon Heights Collegiate. He is also the Track coach for Team Manitoba. He is going to be speaking about the 'gift' that his parents gave him. Mr. Radley would be reflecting on his life and the role that his parents played in shaping it.

  • Megan Prydun

    Ms. Prydun is the World Vision Youth head for Manitoba. She graduated from the Master’s in Development Practice program of the University of Winnipeg. She has also given a talk in TEDxWinnipeg. For TEDxYouth@CSHC, Ms. Prydun will be speaking about the experience of new immigrants in Manitoba.

  • Susanna Scott

    Susana Scott quit her job as a special assistant to the president of the treasury board of the Government of Canada to stay at home in Winnipeg with her daughter, Victoria, who has spina bifida. She will be speaking about the rights of disabled people and their role in society.

  • Mike MacWilliam

    Mr. MacWilliam is an English teacher at Sturgeon Heights Collegiate. In his talk, he would be talking about how to face adversity, especially in university life.

  • David Libby

    Mr. Libby is an IB Physics teacher. His talk will be focused on debunking some of the myths related to Global Warming.

  • Chelsea Cladwell

    Chelsea will be speaking on the 'F' word - Feminism.
