• Felicity Briody

  At the age of just 26, Felicity Briody, has been named in the AFR's top 100 Most Influential Women in Australia. Felicity is the co-founder of the Power of Engineering program, a not-for-profit organisation aiming to change the perception of engineering amongst female students, their teachers and parents, and the community in general. "All you need is to be passionate, imagine what is possible and get out there and share your ideas. You never know what will happen in the conversation or where it will lead,"

• Manisha Senadeera

  Manisha is an Electrical Engineering student at QUT and president of the QUT chapter of Engineers Without Borders. As president, Manisha focuses on ensuring that all members within the chapter are provided with opportunities to learn and grow by being part of events and projects undertaken across the region. Manisha is extremely passionate about education and has been organising awareness events for students, such as Speaker Nights.

• Stephen Hughes

  Stephen Hughes is a graduate of the University of London having obtained an undergraduate degree in physics and physiology from Queen Elizabeth College, a masters in radiation physics from University College and doctorate in physics from King’s College. He was a medical physicist at King’s College Hospital 1981-1984 and St. Thomas Hospital 1984-1997, and has been a lecturer in physics at QUT since 1997. His current research interests are in physics and astrophysics education and the physics of siphons.

• Bulukani Mlalazi

  Bulukani is a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Tropical Crops and Biocommodities. He is involved in the international collaboration between the Centre for Tropical Crops and Biocommodities (QUT) and the National Agricultural Research Organisation (Uganda) in the aim of improving the nutritional value of staple banana varieties in East Africa using biotechnology
