Zeynep Aksehirli
Dr. Akşehirli received her BS (1995) and MS (1997) in Industrial Engineering from Middle East Technical University. She obtained her PhD in Human Resources and Organizational Behavior (2002) from the Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles. She worked as an Assistant Professor of Management at Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College before joining Özyeğin University. Dr. Akşehirli is primarily interested in understanding how communication within an organization shapes common norms and values, and affects people's behavior even in the absence of formal rules. Dr. Akşehirli teaches courses on organizational culture and change, social capital, organizational behavior, and leadership.
Bora Isildak
Dr. Bora Isildak obtained his B. Sc. from Bogazici University, Department of Physics in 2006. He got his Ph. D. in High Energy Experimental Particle Physics from Bogazici University, in 2011. In the last two years of his doctoral studies, he carried on his work at CERN (The European Organization for Nuclear Research) in CMS (Compact Muon Solenoid) Experiment. Since 2009, he has continued his researches on QCD jet measurements and the search for exotic particles.
Emre Soyer
Dr. Soyer is a behavioral scientist, whose research focuses on experience, decision making and statistics. He is interested in creating tools and mechanisms that aid individuals in making better decisions and improve their learning.
Ipek Aktar
Project HAZ consists of original Turkish songs. At her TEDx performance Ipek sings them as one piece to tell her story, starting from Sonsuz (Eternal) and ending with Son (The End). Ipek also performs jazz standards and bossa nova with her quintet.
Osman Dogan Yirmibesoglu
Mr. Yirmibesoglu is a double major (EE, ME) undergraduate student at Ozyegin University. He is specializing in robotics and since 2006 he has created nine different robots. His ultimate goal is to reach the number of robots that equals to his age. Also, he is the founder of Technology & Robotics Club at OzU.
Kemal Apaydin
Kemal Apaydın is a founder of ABLE Technology. He is interested in renewable energy, innovation and entrepreneurship. In the last 5 years, he worked in USA, Germany and South Korea on projects which are related with nuclear, wind and solar energy. During the university years, he founded 3 websites and in his senior year he gathered a group of people from different backgrounds to produce an innovative product. Their product ranked 1st among other projects in the university, and received awards from different competitions in Turkey. In July 2013, he graduated as an industrial engineer. Now he is continuing his projects within his company.
