TEDxTaybeh is a pioneering event that takes place for the first time in the Triangle area in the city of Al-Taybeh. It is a multidisciplinary platform that hosts innovative thinking and distinctive ideas from various areas and fields. Creating a dialogue between individuals, organizations and local communities is another characteristic feature of this event and an indicator for its success. In essence, TEDxTaybeh aims at empowering the peripheral communities in the Arab towns and village. It aspires at creating a space for them to engage and participate in forging new ways of thinking. Above all, TEDxTaybeh is an opportunity to inspire the local community from within.
The theme of TEDxTaybeh focuses on tapping into the journeys of local leaders, thinkers, and talented individuals in the areas of social entrepreneurship, science, art, academia, technology and others. Speakers at TEDxTaybeh will reflect on their journeys on an informal stage that is specifically setup for collective storytelling and bringing people together as a community. The special format of TEDxTaybeh is based on individual innovative presentations of up to 18 minutes. For example, speakers may go about delivering their talks using different methods, which may combine design, art and entertainment.
TEDxTaybeh carries a long term vision. It is the premiere event with the expectation for a series of activities and other TEDx events in the future. Joining hundreds of TEDx communities around the world, the community of TEDxTaybeh welcomes partners and participants from every discipline and culture to share their passion for innovative thinking and ideas that are worth spreading.
