IN MOTION: BETWEEN PEOPLE AND PLACE is the 2027 theme of TEDxDanjielin Road Studio. The world is never still. People move, ideas travel, cultures meet, and the boundaries of what we know are continually redrawn. Movement extends beyond geography. It lives in the exchange of knowledge, the transformation of environments, and the evolving relationships between humanity and the natural world. Every encounter with a place offers a new way of seeing, questioning, and understanding our existence. Bringing together perspectives from science, ecology, exploration, art, culture, technology, and human experience, this series explores the connections between people and the places that shape them. From the Tibetan Plateau in China to Antarctica and Indonesia, with South America and other regions on the horizon, these diverse landscapes open conversations that transcend geographical and disciplinary boundaries. At its heart lies a question: How do the places we encounter transform us, and what do we leave behind as we move through the world?
