TEDxGoiânia

GEEK — Frontiers of Possibility In 2027, TEDxGoiânia brings together people and ideas that challenge the boundaries of what we consider possible, drawing inspiration from geek culture, science fiction, technology, and the power of human imagination. Under the theme “GEEK — Frontiers of Possibility,” the event explores the fascinating connections between fiction and reality, revealing how imagined worlds can inspire scientific discoveries, technological breakthroughs, social transformations, and new ways of understanding ourselves. From artificial intelligence to human relationships, from space exploration to the future of cities, from science and philosophy to business and the arts, each talk will connect a meaningful idea to elements of geek culture — including movies, series, games, comics, and fictional universes that have shaped our collective imagination. More than providing answers, we seek to challenge assumptions, spark curiosity, and explore the extraordinary possibilities that emerge when imagination meets knowledge. Ideas from Goiás, Brazil, and diverse fields of expertise will take the TEDxGoiânia stage to connect the questions of fictional worlds with the real challenges and opportunities facing humanity. On August 25, 2027, Goiânia will once again become a meeting place for ideas worth spreading — where fiction inspires questions, science expands possibilities, and imagination helps shape the future.
