  • Alexsandra Hermosillo

    Student, Vail Mountain High School

I am a current student at Vail Mountain School. I love our mountain environment and with that the bodies of water that flow through it. I am a big reader, I love to snowboard and help my community!

  • Allison Ebbets

    Water Conservation Manager, ERWSD

Allison's career has always focused focuses on the connection between people and the environment, helping understand what is needed to repair historic environmental damages and preserve our natural resources and landscapes for the future. She spent over a decade working for U.S. federal, state, and tribal governments seeking compensation for environmental damages, including the damage to the Upper Arkansas River near Leadville, Co. where mining had scarred the watershed for over a century. Again and again, that work came back to the same resource: water. Today, Allison leads the Water Conservation Department at ERWSD where her team of data scientists and customer service professionals turn water-use and environmental data into everyday decisions, helping her own mountain community determine how much water it can save, and how much it truly needs to keep the Eagle River resilient into the future. She holds an MS in Biology from UNLV & BA in Biochemistry from CU Boulder.

  • Laura Bohannon

Executive Director, Eagle County Conservation District

Laura Bohannon grew up in San Francisco and moved to Colorado at age 13, where she discovered her love for the outdoors. She attended Colorado State University, and after graduation spent much of her twenties traveling internationally, learning from rural communities around the world. No matter how far she traveled, Colorado always drew her back. In 2013, Laura made Eagle County her home and later pursued a second degree in Leadership in Sustainability from Colorado Mountain College. In 2020, she joined the Eagle County Conservation District part-time to help strengthen its operations and has since grown into her current role as Executive Director. Today, she leads the District’s efforts to promote natural resource management and conservation through technical and financial assistance, program development, and education and outreach.
