Aditya Gupta
Meet Aditya Gupta, a Grade 12 CBSE student with a fascination for mathematics, physics, and chemistry. He enjoys learning about the world in all its forms, whether that means exploring somewhere new, discovering an unexpected idea, or simply figuring out why something works the way it does. Away from academics, he enjoys eating good food, exploring new places, taking pictures, or immersing himself into a fantasy or supernatural story. When none of these things are happening, there is a very good chance he is doomscrolling with no intention of stopping anytime soon. As a TEDx speaker, Aditya hopes to challenge the way we think about the forces that shape our choices and the authority we give to the voices around us. Through storytelling, curiosity, and a questionable sense of humor, he hopes to leave the audience with a new way of looking at something they thought they already understood.
Anoushkaa Gireesh
Anoushkaa Gireesh, a CBSE Grade 10 student, treats every day conversation like it's being filmed for a sitcom — complete with comedic timing and the occasional dramatic pause for effect. A chronic collector of hobbies, she spends her time sketching, dancing, playing piano, and snapping photos (despite a phone that's always out of storage from hundreds of near-identical shots she can't bear to delete). If that doesn’t fill her week, she’s also a competitive basketball and kho kho player. As a committed debater, she believes every good idea deserves a good argument — and she won’t stop until she’s made one. Now, as a speaker for TEDxTGS, she’s excited to bring that same blend of precision, thoughtfulness, and heart to the stage.
Kavya Reddy
Kavya Reddy is an 11th-grade student at Excellencia College and a two-time national declamation winner. She enjoys anything that involves speaking and is an avid MUNner who loves a good debate. When she’s not juggling her hundred hobbies, internships, and approximately seventeen side quests, you’ll probably find her doomscrolling or eating ramen. She looks forward to making the most of this TEDx experience, meeting new people, and interacting with everyone.
Mr. Babar Ali
Babar Ali is the founder and headmaster of Ananda Siksha Niketan, a school he started in the backyard of his family's home when he was nine years old. What began as an attempt to bring affordable education to an impoverished corner of Murshidabad, West Bengal, earned him the title of "Youngest Headmaster in the World" from the BBC at the age of 16. Twenty years on, more than 7,000 students have passed through his classrooms on completely free education. A TED Fellow and public speaker, Babar carries a single mission wherever he goes: Education for All. His work has been recognised with the Real Hero Award by CNN IBN, Indian of the Year by NDTV, a place on Forbes 30 Under 30, and a mention by the Hon'ble President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, in his 2020 address to the nation. His biography is now part of school curricula across the globe, as he continues to lead Ananda Siksha Niketan in Murshidabad.
Nishka Agarwal
Meet Nishka Agarwal, an accomplished artistic gymnast from Hyderabad whose journey began with a love for gymnastics at the age of seven. What started as a childhood interest soon grew into a passion that has taken her to national and international stages, representing Telangana and India and earning several awards, including gold medals at the Khelo India Youth Games. Beyond her achievements, Nishka finds in gymnastics a unique combination of discipline, artistry, and self-expression. Her journey has taught her to embrace challenges, trust her abilities, and keep pushing beyond what seems possible. Through her TEDx talk, Nishka will explore what it means to move beyond the boundaries placed before us and give ourselves permission to take the next step.
Varun Lingamallu
Meet Varun Lingamallu, a DP 2 student at The Gaudium School with interests in economics, finance, and business. Outside academics, he enjoys public speaking, watching movies, and listening to music. With a particular interest in visual design, Varun is drawn to work where creativity and communication intersect, particularly through public speaking and event organisation. He also takes an active interest in charity and community initiatives, which have allowed him to work beyond his usual areas of interest. Having previously served as the Head of Finance for TEDxTGS, stepping onto the TEDx stage as a speaker marks something of a full-circle moment. Through his TEDx talk, Varun will analyze how often the barriers we wait for permission to cross may not exist at all.\
Yashvi Velidi
Meet Yashvi Velidi, an IBDP 1 student with a passion for art, literature, and dance. As a naturally curious and creative person, Yashvi enjoys exploring ideas and bringing them to life while also finding inspiration in the little things around her. When she’s not dancing or lost in a book, you’ll often find her designing, creating, and putting together events. These creative activities have taught her to enjoy the spontaneity, experimentation, and the imperfect moments that make something truly meaningful. Through her TEDx talk, Yashvi hopes to explore what happens when we stop waiting for permission to create and give ourselves the freedom to simply begin.
