We are living through one of the greatest shifts of our time. A shift in how we work. How we lead. How we connect. How we heal. How we learn. How we create. And ultimately, how we define what's possible. But to understand where we are going, we also have to look at where we've been. Because some of the most powerful shifts happen when we pause long enough to reflect on the lessons of the past-the systems we inherited, the stories we were told, the traditions that shaped us, and the breakthroughs that changed the world before us. The Shift is about moments, ideas, innovations, and human experiences that move us from where we've been to where we're capable of going. Some shifts happen globally through technology, science, media, education and culture. Others happen quietly--inside people. A shift in mindset. A shift in confidence. A shift in identity. A shift in purpose. This TEDx event explores the thinkers, creators, disruptors, and storytellers who are learning from the past, challenging the present, and helping shape the future across every sector of life. Because progress doesn't happen by accident. It begins with awareness. It begins with reflection. It begins with a shift.

  • Atul Bhatara

    Entrepreneur/Speaker/ Disability Advocate

Atul's story is not one of simple success — it is one of remarkable strength and the unshakable belief that challenges are invitations to rise. At just 14 months old, he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. For many, such a diagnosis would define the limits of their future. For Atul, it became the beginning of an extraordinary journey. Atul spent part of his childhood in New Delhi, India, living with his grandmother — a woman whose strength helped shape his character. In her kitchen, filled with the scent of turmeric, cinnamon, and saffron, Atul learned the beauty of simplicity, the power of family, and the value of healing through nature. Atul joined his family business managing World’s Fair Marina and Banquet Hall. But then came COVID-19. It was during those uncertain months that the idea for Atul Skincare was born. Inspired by the traditional ingredients from his grandmother’s kitchen, Atul envisioned a skincare brand rooted in authenticity, cultural heritage, and holistic wellness.

His work explores integrity, internal clarity, inheritance, and legacy, helping leaders live and lead with greater coherence in a world that rewards fragmentation and pressures people to become different versions of themselves across roles, rooms, and relationships. With more than two decades of executive leadership across healthcare and technology, Julian brings both operator credibility and philosophical depth to his work. Through his writing and teaching, he helps leaders confront the hidden costs of misalignment and distrust, and translate identity and values into more grounded, consistent action.
