• Emma Kim

  Emma Kim is a neuroethics researcher whose work explores the ethical and philosophical implications of emerging neurotechnologies. Her interests lie at the intersection of neuroscience, bioethics, and human enhancement, with particular attention to questions of identity, autonomy, consent, and inequality. She examines how technologies that can restore or augment human abilities may challenge our conventional understanding of medicine, and, ultimately, what it means to remain human.

• Haram Kim

  Haram Kim is a student studying literature at HAFS. After spending part of childhood in British classrooms clapping out haiku syllables, Haram went looking for Korea's answer and found sijo: a seven-hundred-year-old form almost no one outside Korea has read. She has been translating it into English ever since. All translations in this talk are her own.

• Hyemyoung Kang

  Hyemyoung Kang is a high school student and an aspiring international judge with a strong interest in international law and global governance. Her research on the non-implementation of ICJ judgments led her to develop the Global Responsibility and Contribution Index (GRCI), exploring how responsibility could become another source of influence in the international community. Beyond international law, she enjoys various sports and is interested in fashion and environmental issues. Across these interests, she hopes to contribute to a world where equality exists not only in principle, but also in practice.

• Minseo Jung

  She is a high school student passionate about architecture as a tool for community enhancement and addressing global challenges. She believes in the subconscious power of architecture to heal society by bridging psychological and scientific dimensions. She reimagines cities as resilient, human-centered spaces and aims to pull greater attention to this vision.

• Ruha Lee

  She is a criminal psychologist and former prosecutor whose work focuses on the intersection of law and human behavior. Drawing on courtroom experience, she examines the psychological dimensions of criminal responsibility, decision-making, and offender behavior. She is particularly interested in how psychological insights can strengthen legal practice and advance the pursuit of justice.

• Soyun Lee

  Soyun Lee is a social psychologist interested in the ways fame, media, and human relationships shape our judgments and behavior. Her work explores how parasocial relationships and cognitive biases influence the way audiences perceive public figures. In her TEDx talk, “The Price of Grace,” she examines why celebrities are often forgiven more quickly than ordinary people and questions how fame can shape our ideas of accountability, trust, and redemption.
