TEDx is an independent, locally organized event licensed under the global TED conference.
While TED hosts world-famous international events, TEDx brings ideas worth spreading to local communities. It gathers passionate speakers, students and audiences to share unique insights about life, study, art, technology and social growth.
The core spirit of TEDx is simple and powerful: Ideas Worth Spreading.
It encourages young people to think critically, express bravely, and explore the world with an open mind. Different from traditional speeches, TEDx focuses on original thinking, personal stories and creative viewpoints, allowing every ordinary person’s voice to be heard and valued.
The PYP program of BRES always nurtures students to become curious inquirers, confident communicators, and active global contributors.
This event is designed to provide students with a platform to voice their unique perspectives, inspire peers, and empower young voices to be seen and heard.
It aims to:
- Encourage students to explore topics of interest through in-depth research and develop independent, critical viewpoints.
- Embody core PYP Learner Profile attributes, including being risk-takers, effective communicators, and reflective thinkers.
- Build students’ self-confidence and empathy through sharing ideas and embracing diverse perspectives.
- Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and inspiring learning community that values expression, diversity, and creativity.
