Daeun Kim
Daeun Kim is a student, speaker, and advocate who uses storytelling to explore the fears that often go unseen. Drawing from her personal experience with emetophobia, an intense fear of vomiting, Daeun speaks about the realities of living with a phobia and the internal struggles that are often misunderstood by others. Through her work in public speaking, Daeun hopes to challenge the way society perceives fear and encourage greater empathy toward people whose reactions may seem unfamiliar or excessive. Her speech explores not only the fear itself but also the judgment that can come from others who do not understand what happens beneath the surface. Daeun believes that understanding begins when we look beyond what we see—and choose to listen to the battles that others may be fighting silently.
Ngan Anh Le Ha
I’m Ngan Anh, a high school student from Vietnam, aiming to work at the intersection of corporate social responsibility, social entrepreneurship, and women’s economic empowerment. Through founding Girls’ Initiative for Education and Opportunities (GIEO) and working with women artisans in rural communities, I’ve explored how businesses can create opportunities that benefit both people and their communities. Through my work, I hope to explore how entrepreneurship can become a tool for creating meaningful social impact, particularly by expanding opportunities for women and underserved communities. I’m passionate about building initiatives that connect business with purpose and create sustainable change.
