  • Addison McDonough

    Student

    Addison McDonough was a sophomore at Chatham High School when she joined the TEDx stage. Addison is involved in many Chatham High School clubs, including the Robotics team and Future Business Leaders of America. In addition, she helps run a local nonprofit. McDonough is a member of the cross country, indoor track, and lacrosse teams.

  • Gloria Jeng

    Student

    Gloria Jeng was a senior at Chatham High School when she gave this talk. During her time at Chatham, she was captain of Chatham’s highly successful swim team and co-officer of her high school's Model United Nations club. Now, Gloria attends Rutgers Honors College, where she is studying Environmental Policy, Institutions and Behaviors.

  • Lucy Vollmer

    Student

    Lucy Vollmer was a senior at Chatham High School, when she gave this talk. During her years at Chatham High, Lucy participated in Chatham Stage Crew and served as videographer for the Board of Education meetings. She has been heavily invested in art and sign language, earning awards in both subjects. Currently, Lucy is studying at James Madison University and hopes to continue public speaking in the future.

  • Susy Rowland

    Student

    Susy Rowland was a senior at Chatham High School when she gave this talk. Throughout her high school career, she acted in Chatham theater productions, volunteered at the local hospital, and joined several honor societies, including the National Honor Society and the World Language Honor Society. Rowland is attending New York University, and her essay, “The Politics of Lifting” was published in the NYU Magazine in 2026, her senior year of high school. Currently, she is studying biology and English and is pursuing completion of a pre-med program.

  • Taran Wadhera

    Student

    Taran Wadhera was a sophomore at Chatham High School when he gave this talk. He is involved in numerous schoolwide clubs, serving as an attorney on the Mock Trial Team along with being a member of the Chatham High School Student Council. Wadhera is passionate about public speaking and advocacy.
