The future is not a destination. It’s a choice. The future does not take shape somewhere in the distance. It is shaped by the decisions we make every day, the communities we build, the technologies we develop, and the responsibilities we choose to take. It is also shaped by how we use our natural resources, what we choose to preserve, and what kind of world we leave to those who come after us. TEDxSziget aims to show that the future is not a predetermined scenario, but a shared story that is constantly evolving. Sustainability is not treated as a separate topic or a distant goal, but as an essential part of our technological, social, organisational, and personal choices. The event explores how technology, art, psychology, community, and sustainability come together in shaping the world of tomorrow. It asks how technological progress, environmental responsibility, and human values can be aligned so that the decisions we make are not only useful today, but also contribute to a more liveable, inclusive, and sustainable future. The shape of tomorrow is not determined by experts, leaders, and decision-makers alone. We all contribute whenever we question, think, create, connect, and act. The first part of the programme explores what we consider valuable, how we relate to nature and technology, and how these choices influence our vision of the future. The second part asks how awareness can lead to responsible decisions, meaningful connections, and lasting change.
