“Becoming” is a depiction of transformation – the never-ending cycle of being, was, and will be. It is a description of transformation in life that is not necessarily linear, but very much personal. Those times when you face changes, challenges, discovery and courage which help in the formation of your identity. At the very core of “Becoming” is the invitation to reflect on oneself and understand that one is ever-changing and incomplete. Experiences of triumph, failure, ambiguity or epiphany make a part of this continuous becoming process. Thus, this theme is all about celebrating the process itself rather than the outcome. It is the recognition of our courage and commitment to transformation through the continuous process of self-discovery and learning. Through TEDx Ascend we will uncover the true meaning of being in constant movement, evolving, transforming and rediscovering ourselves. Because becoming does not happen at one point in time. It is a constant process.
