(Re)Thinking what shapes us

There are forces we do not see, yet they shape everything we are. The words we carry. The stories we believe. The weight we hide. TEDxLeiria International School Youth is a full-day conference taking place on Wednesday, April 29th, 2026, bringing together 16 LIS student speakers and 12 external speakers who will share powerful stories of insight, experience, and inspiration. Throughout the day, the event opens space for what is often left unspoken — where voices rise to explore identity, challenge perception, and reimagine the world from the inside out. From body image and mental health to empathy, leadership, science, and storytelling, each talk becomes a window into the human experience — raw, complex, and deeply real. The program includes morning and afternoon coffee breaks, as well as a lunch break, offering moments to connect, reflect, and engage beyond the stage. This is not just about ideas. It is about feeling them. Questioning them. Transforming them. All members of the school community are invited to be part of this experience — to listen, to connect, and to be inspired by bold voices and remarkable journeys. Because the most powerful change doesn’t begin out there; it begins within — and grows when it is shared. Happening in Leiria, at the heart of Portugal — at the center of growth.
