Ideas Worth Spreading

DateSeptember 18, 20261:00 PM - 7:00 PM (GMT-5)
LocationJonesboro, Arkansas, United States
FormatUniversity

This event is invite-only.

What happens when ideas from science, leadership, technology, health, history, business, human connection, and personal experience share the same stage? TEDxArkansas State University brings together thinkers, researchers, entrepreneurs, educators, leaders, and storytellers to explore ideas that challenge assumptions, open new conversations, and change the way we see the world around us. There is no single subject that defines this event. Instead, each speaker approaches a different question: about how we learn, lead, communicate, innovate, connect, work, grow, and understand one another. From examining the systems that shape our communities to reconsidering the choices and relationships that shape our individual lives, these talks invite us to look at familiar problems from unfamiliar perspectives. Different disciplines. Different experiences. Different ideas. One stage, united by a simple belief: an idea worth sharing can change the way someone thinks. Sometimes, what they do next. Join us at TEDxArkansas State University for an afternoon of curiosity, conversation, and Ideas Worth Spreading.

  • Randy Green

When a company goes bankrupt, everyone asks, “Where were the auditors?” The auditors were there, but compromised, because they were hired and paid by the companies they audit. It’s the equivalent of jail inmates getting to hire, fire and pay their guards. As a veteran (survivor?) of the Enron / Andersen debacle, Randy saw first-hand how this structural conflict of interest can lead to disaster. His talk explores an innovative way to restructure audits so that auditors are working for the investing public, and not the company that they are auditing.

Named one of Arizona’s Top Dentists for two consecutive years and a Phoenix Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree for 2026, she speaks from the intersection of science, personal reinvention, and the one question that changed everything… who do you want to become?
