TEDxBoulaos Women

TEDxBoulaos Women, Djibouti's first TEDx conference, scheduled for December 2026, is themed around transmission. This choice is rooted in a cultural reality: in Djibouti, the spoken word is sacred, and women are often the keepers of collective memory, passing down lullabies, proverbs, founding stories, medicinal knowledge, and codes of hospitality through voice, gesture, and presence. The word itself carries a double meaning, referring both to what we receive (heritage, traditions) and to what we give (mentorship, teaching, inspiration), which makes it a natural thread for connecting generations. The edition therefore aims to highlight how knowledge, values, creativity, and leadership are passed on, and to offer a space where cultural heritage, innovation, and engagement come together to imagine the country's future.
