Almer Azaria
Avicenna Cinere Senior High School
Almer Azaria is a 16 year old 11th grade student at Avicenna Cinere Senior High School. One day, an intriguing question came to his mind about the ambiguous Indonesian word "hati," which can mean either "liver" or "heart." Driven by this curiosity, Almer developed a unique talent for bridging the gap between human anatomy and culinary traditions, as well as connecting these two organs to the brain as the source of feelings, emotions, and psychological well being. Through his speeches, he uses clear, everyday analogies and cultural insights to make complex medical concepts more accessible and engaging. Beyond the science, Almer uses his platform to inspire profound philosophical reflection, drawing parallels between the vital yet often-overlooked liver and the quiet, essential contributors who keep our society running. Ultimately, he encourages audiences to practice holistic self care, nurture their emotional well being, and appreciate the silent heroes around them.
