TEDxArta is the first independently organized TEDx event in the city of Arta, created to bring forward ideas, people, and experiences that inspire meaningful change. Under the theme “Bridging Ideas Into Reality”, the event explores how ideas move beyond inspiration and become action. From innovation and technology to culture, education, and human stories, TEDxArta creates a space for authentic dialogue, creativity, and connection. Hosted in a city that has been building bridges for centuries, TEDxArta aims to connect: – the past with the future – tradition with innovation – ideas with real-world impact This is more than an event. It is the beginning of a growing community built around ideas that matter.

  • Angela Tsola

With a passion for communication and creativity, she inspires through her demeanor and presence.

    The Athletic and Cultural Group of Students of Arta (A.P.O.F.A.) is a student association created to bring young people together through collaboration, creativity and collective expression. Today, the group is primarily active through its traditional dance ensemble, preserving Greek cultural heritage while creating a welcoming space for connection, participation and artistic expression within the student community. Guided by the values of culture, teamwork and inclusion, A.P.O.F.A. seeks to create shared experiences that strengthen relationships among students. At the same time, it remains open to new ideas, collaborations and initiatives that encourage active participation and enrich university life. At TEDxArta 2026, the group presents a selection of traditional Greek dances and invites the audience to take part in short, interactive mini-workshops. Through this experience, A.P.O.F.A. demonstrates how tradition can continue to inspire, connect generations and remain a vibrant part of contemporary student life.

  • ARTAS CULTURAL ASSOCIATION “MAKRYGIANNIS”

    The Cultural Association of Arta “O Makrygiannis” was founded in 1980 by people united by their love for Arta, the arts, literature and culture. For more than four decades, the Association has played an active role in the cultural, educational and social life of the local community. Through traditional dance, theatre, choirs, music, visual arts and creative workshops for children, young people and adults, it creates opportunities for expression, learning and meaningful participation. Its work connects local history and cultural heritage with contemporary artistic creation, keeping traditions alive while encouraging cooperation between generations. At TEDxArta, members of the Association bring the city’s memory and identity to the stage through theatrical and dance performances inspired by the stories, traditions and people of Arta.

    I am a kid from the countryside who dared to pursue my dream in the arts, choosing dance despite the stereotypes. Through perseverance and dedication, I managed to study at the Greek National Opera. Today, I continue to grow artistically, proving that passion can overcome any limitation.

    KIDS SAVE LIVES – Τα Παιδιά Σώζουν Ζωές is a Greek humanitarian, non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening society’s ability to respond effectively to life-threatening emergencies. Its mission is based on a simple but powerful belief: everyone can learn to save a life—even children. Through systematic training in first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use of automated external defibrillators, the organization empowers students, teachers and citizens to act with confidence when every second matters. At the same time, it develops community networks of trained first responders and publicly accessible defibrillators, supported by innovative digital tools such as the iSAVElives emergency application. At TEDxArta, KIDS SAVE LIVES brings this mission to the stage through an experiential emergency-response performance, reminding us that lifesaving knowledge is not reserved for professionals. It is a social responsibility that can transform an ordinary bystander into the person who gives someone a second chance at life.
