Our theme is Triple A : Assuming Less, Accessing More, and Becoming Aware. Example of our TED Talks are: "The Unlimited Mentality" - presented by a Coronado High School student, to decrease the limited mindset students are challenged with. This talk would be presenting data and statistics to support claims, as well as personal experiences. “Do You Know People As Who They Are ”- presented by a Coronado High School student with Autism. This talk emphasizes the lack of representation in neurodivergent students in society as well as the many stereotypes they face. We are hoping to expose our audience to the real truth behind students with autism; by various aspects of their creativity and critical thinking mindsets. "Who’s Blind, Me or You?" - this talk is presented by a Coronado High School student who is visually impaired. It's featured to motivate individuals with or without disabilities to rethink the obstacles they face and increase persistence. All of our talks' main focus is to amplify voices and perspectives while building a community focused on curiosity and innovation.

  • Eva Zannoni

    Eva, an extroverted ninth grader, is a passionate artist and creative writer, taking COSA Digital Arts this year during her time here at Coronado High School. She’s very academically driven and has been fascinated by the subject of mental limitations for a while. She was drawn to the topic during a rough patch in her life, so now she wants to bring her own perspective in front of a bigger audience.

  • Grace Dabbieri

    Grace Dabbieri is a senior at Coronado High School. She is visually impaired and is passionate about raising awareness and understanding about blindness. Grace cares deeply about accessibility and helping others see the value of inclusion. She loves technology and enjoys exploring how tech can empower people and create more independent, connected lives.

  • Miles Cudney

    Miles Cudney, is a 15 year-old Freshman that attends Coronado High School. Miles has neurodivergence and autism. As he grew older, he found himself disagreeing with the ideas of what people had of autism, based on only portrayals of autism from the media or antiquated thinking. When he joined the Ted X Club, he decided his talk would be about autism, by learning about what autism is and how autism actually causes people to act.

  • Porter Aston

    Porter Aston is the Mechanical Engineering Captain of FTC Robotics Team 24029 Coconuts-n-Bolts and Build Admiral for FRC team 2827 LEGION Robotics. This presentation is about the effects of awareness as a leader in robotics.

  • Sean Wilbur

    Sean Wilbur, a senior, has noticed and decided to take action towards the sewage crisis currently plaguing our community. He founded and leads the Stop the Sewage Club here at Coronado High School, while working with adults and fellow students in the wider San Diego community.

  • Wendy Alcaraz

    Wendy Alcaraz is a junior at Coronado High School pursuing her passion for visual and fine arts. She is dedicated to sharing her love of art with others and hopes to become an art lawyer in the future. Through TEDx, she educates audiences about the value of art and its impact as a meaningful craft and form of expression.
