ROOTED Jordan is a land where history is not simply remembered. It is lived. From the ancient civilizations that shaped our land to the traditions, stories, values, and communities that continue to shape us today, our identity is deeply connected to where we come from. ROOTED is an exploration of that connection. To be rooted is to understand our origins, recognize the people and experiences that shaped us, and appreciate the values we carry from one generation to the next. It is about our Jordanian heritage, our relationship with our land, our culture, and the stories that define us. But roots are not meant to keep us standing still. Just as a tree draws strength from its roots while continuing to grow toward the sky, we can draw strength from our past while building something new. ROOTED asks us to explore how our origins can inspire innovation, ambition, creativity, and change. At TEDxBAU, we want to bring together ideas and stories that challenge us to look at our roots from different perspectives: What shaped us? What should we preserve? What should we question? And what can we create from the foundation we have inherited? ROOTED is ultimately about finding strength in where we come from while having the courage to decide where we are going. Know your roots.
