• Blake Murphy

  Blake Murphy is a host, writer, and analyst for Sportsnet, covering the Toronto Raptors and Toronto Blue Jays. Originally pursuing a path in business and law, he ultimately found his way into sports media, where he combines data-driven analysis with reporting and storytelling. Across multiple sports and platforms, Blake helps audiences make sense of the numbers behind the game while keeping the people and stories at the centre.

• David Chang

  David Chang is a second-year medical student at the University of British Columbia. He grew up across Western Canada, spending time in Alberta, the Interior, Vancouver Island, and now the Lower Mainland. He completed his undergraduate studies in Biology at the University of Victoria and has interests in rural medicine, health advocacy, and substance use treatment. Outside of medicine, David enjoys volleyball, rock climbing, and playing the drums.

• Efthimios Nasiopoulos

  Efthimios Nasiopoulos was born in Toronto to blue-collar Greek immigrant parents. After dropping out of university to pursue his passion for comedy, he built a career as a professional stand-up comedian, touring across North America for over 20 years. He later returned to university, earning a degree in philosophy from UBC. He is currently developing his one-person show, A Fool in School.

• Kia Bahari

  Kia Bahari is a medical student at UBC, educator, and content creator with a passion for making complex ideas accessible. He is the founder of his own tutoring company and educational YouTube platform, where he helps students navigate challenging university coursework and prepare for the MCAT. His interests span medicine, neuroscience, education, and the questions that emerge at the intersection of science and philosophy.

• Maya Achuthan

  Maya Achuthan is a second-year biomedical engineering student at UBC and the founder of The Civic Circuit, a student-led initiative that helps STEM students engage with policy, civic participation, and decision-making. Her work explores the intersection of technology and public policy, with a focus on helping young innovators better understand the systems that shape how their ideas move from research and development into the real world.
