We are connected by fiber optics but distanced by screens; we live in a global village yet often forget the neighbors on our own street. TEDxLonsdaleAve invites you to a day of transformation at the heart of North Vancouver. Our 2026 theme, "Reconnect," is a call to action to mend the broken links between technology and humanity, heritage and future, and—most importantly—between ourselves and the community we call home. Set against the vibrant backdrop of Lonsdale Avenue—a historic bridge between the mountains and the sea—this event brings together a diverse lineup of visionaries, including leaders from the North Shore’s influential Persian community, tech innovators, and cultural storytellers. What does it mean to Reconnect? With the Self: Rediscovering our mental well-being, personal identity, and the power of the human voice in a noisy world. With the Other: Moving past algorithms to find authentic human connection, social cohesion, and the shared stories of our diverse community. With Nature, Technology, and the Future: Exploring how North Vancouver’s unique heritage can harmonize with the digital frontier.
