Aaryan Budhwar
Student Speaker
A student at SSE, Aaryan spent his childhood moving between India and Sweden, attending multiple schools and constantly rebuilding who he was from scratch. Through that experience, he discovered that identity is shaped by the environments we are placed in. His talk challenges you to stop accepting the version of yourself others have built for you.

Hala Habash
Biomedical Sciences PhD Candidate
Hala Habash is a PhD student at Karolinska Institutet studying why childhood cancers become resistant to treatment, and how to stop them. But her TEDx talk isn’t really about cancer. It’s about something more universal: the signals and data we already have, and why we so often fail to take them seriously. Hala asks a question that goes far beyond medicine. What if the next big breakthrough isn’t hiding in a lab we haven’t built yet, but in results we’ve already seen and brushed aside? In an age where we generate more data than ever before, maybe the step forward isn’t about generating more. Maybe it’s about learning to look differently at what we already have.
Jim Bergdahl
Student Speaker
Having grown up with perhaps one too many computers at home, Jim started tinkering with technology early in life. Today, as a dual-degree student at SSE and KTH, he loves to talk about anything related to business and, naturally, technology. Whether it’s gaming mice, laptops, VR headsets or the hot topic of AI – Jim probably knows about it. Having only held simple speeches during class before, he finally challenged his fear of public speaking and applied to talk at TEDxSSE.
