• Anders Nelsson

  Anders is a legendary jack of all trades whose career has spanned decades and continents. Starting as a student right here at KGV, Anders refused to be confined by any traditional career label, choosing instead to pursue a life that combined his passions for music, acting and more.

• David McKirdy

  David McKirdy is a celebrated Hong Kong poet, motor mechanic, and KGV alumnus whose life bridges the gap between industrial craftsmanship and literary art. Known as a polymath of the local creative scene, he spent decades restoring vintage cars and motorcycles for high-profile fleets while simultaneously becoming a pillar of the city’s poetry community.

  We often label what we don’t understand, but behind every diagnosis is a story worth hearing. Meet Julius, who will be exploring their journey of recovery after being diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder.

• Krishanaa Mahtani

  The past has always been a mirror to our world today, but our work doesn’t stop at reflecting. Krishanaa will be exploring how narratives are shaped, from the pages of history books to the algorithms on our screens, and how to turn a critical eye on the information overload we’re facing on the internet everyday.

• Nathaniel Wong

  Drawing from his unique vantage point as the child of a single mother, Nathaniel shows us how to bridge the communication gap between parents and children. It takes two to keep the conversations going - and the solution doesn’t just sit with the parents.

• Scarlett Chan

  Meet Scarlett, our youngest speaker who’s represented Hong Kong in skateboarding competitions internationally. For most people, falling down is the same as failure - but in skateboarding, falling is a skill. Through the unique lens of her sport, Scarlett will be exploring how learning to bail is actually the ultimate act of courage.
